La Maison du Traict is located in the heart of Le Croisic, a 7-minute walk from the TGV train station, right next to the covered market, a veritable hub of local life on market days.
It’s the ideal starting point for a stroll along the quays between the fishing port, the fish market and the marina.
As you stroll along, you’ll discover harbor architecture dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, from the timber-framed houses in the inner harbor to the tall stone mansions lining the quays and the old-fashioned villas on the coast, evoking early memories of the beginnings of sea bathing.

Le Croisic, La Baule and surroundings
Le Croisic can also be explored on foot along the 10 km coastal path through moorland, rocky coasts and wooded areas, by bike along the cycle path that circles the peninsula as far as La Baule, or by sea on a sailboat, paddleboard or kayak.
It’s also a charming seaside resort with 10 beaches, including our favorites: Plage des Sables Menus, a small, well-sheltered family beach facing south; Plage de Port Lin, a true seaside resort beach with a beach club for the little ones; and Plage de Saint Goustan, a less-frequented beach facing north, but which offers a breathtaking spectacle at every tide as it adjoins the entrance to the channel feeding the Traict.
Within easy reach by bike or car, the salt marshes of Guérande, the bay of La Baule and the port of La Turballe.
A one-day cruise to the islands of Houat, Hoedic or Belle Île, departing from Le Croisic from May to September.
